Nude to Nude

Neutral colours are definitely one of my favourite looks to wear. It gives a rustic look yet very subtle. It's so easy going yet it can be elegant and classy when desired. Great for most occasions, I feel.

I put together one of my favourite neutral nude looks to wear and it's perfect for a casual day out but it's also decent enough to wear for a class or something that is slightly formal. I particularly like this look because I feel like it gives a really nice vintage vibe to it. When I wore this I felt like I was taken back to the 60s, listening to The Smiths on my record player, in a little attic in a cottage house. It feels all cosy and cute.

Both the top and skirt are from Miss Selfridge. I paired two different purses that I got long ago when they were on sale. They're two of my favourite multi-occasional (I love bags that can be used for anything, that's what bags are for!) bags and I feel that they compliment the outfit rather well. The Michael Kors one is more for a evening look and it can be used for a clutch as well, whereas the Oroton one is perfect for a day out as its compact yet very spacious to carry all your essentials. For shoes, I'd wear a nude wedge/heels for a more dressy occasion of just simple black or nude ballet flats.

Since this is a nude look, I would keep the makeup very simple. A bronzed look would tie the whole look together; focussing on the contour with a light brown smokey eyes (or just light brown shadow) would do the trick! Any warm toned lip colours would work, I'd put on either a light rose pink liner or a brown toned one. "Rosy Rim" or "Nice n Spicy" by M.A.C are my favourites.

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse in my closet!

With love,
Cheryl
