The day after prom, what I call my cosy Saturday, was my first proper day to relax. I had a nice breakfast then cosied up in the living room, watching "My sister's keeper"; something I haven't done in a long time due to exams!
Words fail to describe my contained excitement for the road ahead that evening. I grabbed my little pinkish suitcase and packed up all my brightly coloured swimsuits and cute clothes. Eeeeep.
The next day started at the crack of dawn. We, my family, best friend and I, got ready and headed to the airport. I slept through the flight and was awakened by ocean blue water outside the tiny rectangular airplane window. The airport was all kinds of fascinating; outdoors and tropical!
Seeing the hotel and the streets for the first time was jaw-dropping, as if the image draws itself in your mind over and over again.
We kicked started the day with breakfast and the hotel, and I had all the delicious sweet stuff. They even had the classic honey from the comb, along with a mix variety of food ranging from asian to european. We sat by the breakfast table, relaxing, planning the rest of the day out together. We decided to visit the ____ Mall, stopping by the _____ Temple briefly. The mall was interesting, with outdoory bits and several kinds of shops. As the day shifted along, we stopped by our usual Thailand coffee place _____ before heading to the local Hard Rock cafe which was only a five minute walk away. We picked up a cap for my brother and I was so intrigued by all the hangings on the wall; they had a wide selection from Taylor Swift's classic RED tank top to Madonna's signed heels to Michael Jackson's boots to The Beatles's dress.

By four in afternoon, we found ourselves wandering around compound of the hotel. The first stop was our free fifteen massage, which in my defence was only ten minutes. The teaser massage was painfully good, I managed to fall asleep for like one minute. Then we found a cheeky game room with a gigantic human chess board outside, before heading to the cafe as I was craving a cup of hot chocolate, regardless of the burning weather. Dinner was simple, another Thai restaurant down the road. Scrumptious and rustic though!

This was such a memorable where I had so many new experiences. After breakfast, we went island hoping, to three different islands. There were some problems with engine of our speedboat but thankfully it was all resolved. We had the bubbliest tour guide! As well as a several couples who were all so smiley. Our first stop was to _____ where we chose not to climb to the peak, instead, practice basic snorkelling. The water was crystal blue, with corals underneath. Far too painful to step on, thus we glided through. Then we stopped by _____ for a quick lunch. Throughout the day we were continuously drenching ourselves in sunblock; the spray and liquid kind. We then ended the trip with two different islands to snorkel in. I can't put enough emphasis on how beautiful and clean the water was. Seeing the marine life and feeling as if I was an actual fish was something I'll never forget. It made me more motivated to save our beautiful, beautiful planet.
We celebrated my best friend's 18th birthday at a lovely Italian restaurant, Preggo. Perfecto is all I can say about the food! They even laid out a beautiful table for us with flowers and all as we called to reserve a place, mentioning it was for a celebratory birthday. What comes next makes me laugh till I turn red! They were so lovely and sang happy birthday with a unique cake but as they began doing so, the birthday girl was in the washroom! So they had to basically "rewind". Ahh, good times. A visit to night market near the hotel and some cheeky live music including a cover of "Without You" by U2, from the hotel next door was the best way to end the night. I was also glad I got to wear my two piece outfit with embroidered flowers on it. My sunburn was pretty bad at that point, I felt as if I was a ball of flame.
Goodbyes are always challenging. We tried to make the most of our last day after breakfast at the hotel for the last time. Jet skiing was on our itinerary and I had the most electrifying experience! We then treated ourselves with our last Thai meal at the restaurant next door and had to leave to the airport soon after. Our flight was delayed but we kept ourselves entertained with cards and the duty free shop!
I had the best time throughout the trip. I'm so glad I got to live through it especially after all the hard work of exams. I experienced so many new things with the people who mean most to me. Nothing beats that. I'll forever be immensely grateful.
With love,
Cheryl
