Tunes // Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran. Man, I love this guy. His music makes my heart feel a variety of emotions - from pain, to hurt, to anger, to love, to happiness, to anything. I admire that he's able to sing absolutely anything and it comes straight from the heart; you can feel what he sings.

Some of my favourites from him include "Everything You Are", "She", "Cold Coffee", "Photograph", "Wake Me Up", "Amsterdam/Sweet Mary Jane", "New York", "Give Me Love", and basically everything he makes.

He's such an artist that manages to make such creative and different art in his songs such as the bridge of Give Me Love where he pours his heart and soul into it just by the way he sings 'Give Me Love', or the way he includes different rhythm patterns in his songs like the pre-chorus of 'Lego House' and the way he raps but in a melodic way that's basically a poem with a melody. He's definitely an artist I study; his live performances, his vocal ability, his song writing and everything. I watched over hundreds of his videos on YouTube and I used to spend all my free time getting to know him more.

He's inspired by many people such as Damian Rice (Thank you Damian, for basically creating and inspiring Ed to become Ed), Eric Clapton, and so on. Ed is definitely one of my biggest inspirations musically and in general. He inspired me to try out a loop pedal and

He's absolutely not only an artist I highly look up to, but a person in general I would love to be. He's quirky and loveable personality as well as his attitude to everything is loveable. Not to mention is sense of humour and  I also love that he's not afraid to do what makes him happy such as tattoos, drive on top gear before getting his licence, wearing a simple etc. Not only that, but you can tell his music is so genuine and real especially when he performs live.

I'm definitely a huge fan of his work and I'm excited for new music from him in the future!
