UK

We all have places that we just know we feel right in. Admiration has always sparkled in my eyes as conversations about the UK spark. I don't know why but ever since I was introduced to UK, whether that be through movies or books, an unusual feeling rumbles in the pits of my stomach.

Immediately after mocks and Chinese New Year were over, I headed to UK for a week. It was originally planned to just visit the schools I was accepted in for A Levels, but my dad managed to make things less scary and stressful by slipping in some touristy bits. Thankfully.

After a long and meandering thirteen hour flight, where I surprisingly managed to catch some sleep on, we arrived in Heathrow airport bright and early. I've always been slightly intimidated of how large the airport is and the thought of having to travel around the airport alone. After getting our bags, having a quick but scrumptious meal with a massive cup of hot chocolate, we waited for the next bus that brought us to our designated car rental place. My eyes widened as I saw glimpses of the different terminals and how the are interconnected. The bus was silent and quite empty, with only the sound of the moving bus and our luggages that glided through the compartment.

Once we got the car, the journey began. Though it was very chilly, we bundled up and decided to pop by the Stone Henge and stop for lunch. I was honestly amazed by it and thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning more about it.

Then the journey to Bath began. When we arrived at the lovely hotel, it was already late afternoon. We spent the rest the day walking the streets and getting a glimpse of Bath. The most exquisite meal was invited to us as we sat down and a cozy cafe, sipping our lemonades and enjoying every bite of the food.

Nervous ran up and down my spine as I got ready for the school visit the next morning. It was truly fascinating but once it was over, I felt a hefty weight lifted off my shoulders. Exhilaration gushed through my veins as I was excited to be a tourist in bath for a day! We started by stopping at the circus; walking around, absorbing some fresh air.

Once we bid our farewell to Bath, we headed to Oxford. Before that, we stopped by a few places; Cotswold Alignton Burton on the water bristol

My dad made a funny joke; "I feel like I'm floating in the air of smartness". Oxford was eye-opening. People that passed by seemed to have a story. We walked the cobbled streets and had dinner at a takeaway place, followed by a cheeky kebab.

We had another school visit the next day. Afterwards, I felt complete.

The ever so lovely, London.
