Good Weeks are Good

Here's the two consecutive weeks after my "celebratory weekend" that I wrote about in a blogpost: here. It was two good weeks, with a good balance and I had a good time. Good

Here's my acai I had with my dad the night before (the previous blogpost I linked mentions it!)

Monday

I laid around in bed for a while after waking up, catching up on some Youtube videos. Something happened as I was showering though, which my fault. I realised my dog was happily chewing on my retainers. Filled with panic, I had to arrange for me to pop my the dentist to go get a mould for the new retainers. Thankfully, it all worked out. My brother and I headed to college where I met up with my best friend for lunch at a cute hipster cafe amongst one of the roads. Then, we headed to campus where I enrolled and got all the paper work done. We then stopped by to pick up a toothbrush at the mall next door before heading out to the dentist. My brother also got me a Boost Juice after the dentist!

Tuesday

I made few covers after waking up before getting ready to head our and see my mum at work. We got our nails done, then headed to dinner at the area near our home (D.P) where I met up with my dad for some cheeky tapas and paella! My grandma also made me my favourite noodles while I sat and ate, watching my favourite shows.

Wednesday

Met up with my music band for my music teacher's farewell. We talked and ate steamboat.
I came home and watched Victorious.

Thursday

Lazy day basically. Lots of movies, lots of music.

Friday

My brother's wisdom tooth extraction day! He was being so funny and adorable. After sending my brother there, my parents and I found a Thai restaurant nearby and my love for Thai food just got stronger after that meal! It was delicious and the ambience was so calming, just like Thailand! If you squint a little, it honestly feels like Thailand. They mentioned how people would book the place for weddings and parties but I asked my dad, "do you love Thai food enough to get married to it?". The weather definitely helped; my favourite kind, slightly gloomy like England skies but not too gloomy with a nice breeze!

I went for a run with my mum as well and the weather was so refreshing. Before that I cleaned up my shoe closet and had a big bag of shoes and boxes to throwout as they were all broken. So, I carried it and jogged all the way to the main bin, in hope for arm muscles. Pretty sure I got a few laughs along the way though, but it was fun nevertheless. For dinner, we all ate home, with my grandma's simple but scrumptious noodles, a little bit of sushi and a whole lot of fruits.

Saturday

Breakfast at a Breadfruit restaurant. Blogged a lot and accompanied my brother. In the afternoon, I went out to the supermarket to run some errands with my mum and then stopped by the nursery to get some pretty flowers.

For dinner, we had our favourite Taiwanese food. Though it was busy, food was still as tasty! I came home and had some cherries and my brother gave me his extra strawberry smoothie, mmm!

Sunday

What an interesting day! Great start to the morning by trying out a new breakfast place that was recommended by my mum's friend. It was a "healthy" and vegetarian place with the most beautiful plating. After breakfast, we were attracted by a show room of a new housing project, thus we took a quick look see and I was very impressed with the interior design. Of course how room need to show the utmost perfection, but I was honestly so attracted to the design; modern with a cozy feel. Ideas sparked inside of me - from marble designs with a subtle use of teak! A hint of colour and a splash of minimalism.

My afternoon was filled with putting together a mashup of all songs I wished I had the time to cover. I planned and practiced it out. For dinner, my parents packed up some food and I snacked around; from fishball soup to nostalgic biscuits to coffee cake to Ben's & Jerry Ice cream!

Monday

I filmed the cover in the morning and proceeded to edit it - probably one of my favourite videos I've ever put together! I then went for my first facial with my mum and my face was very happy.

Tuesday

Had a nice lie in with my pup and I watched Sam & Cat as well as Parental Guidance! My favourites. I then joined my mum at work before heading off to dive into some tasty food. Even had a swell conversation with my favourite aunty on the phone; we talked about everything from visiting her to Ed Sheeran and Adele concerts to studying abroad to dungeons to her asking me "Are you still singing" which made my heart all tender and warm.

Wednesday

I had a lovely day just relaxing and watching TV. I rewatched some of my favourite TV programs that ended such as Parenthood and had many snacks along the way. In the evening I went for a little jog with my mum. I also had trouble falling asleep so I listened to Shawn Mendes' newest album and absolutely loved it. I finally fell asleep at about 3am.

Thursday

I made music; little covers and wrote some songs. Absolutely loved it. For lunch, I went out with my brother to one of his go to Sushi places and popped by campus (started to get nervous). I then went out with my mum in the evening for some shopping and food - picked up the Naked Heat palette and I'm beyond excited to play around with it when I have the chance. She gave me some of her clothes for college too! I also watched a bit of an Instagram live stream of a little Youtuber I watch and she gave me a little shoutout, which was cool!

Friday

Watched Wizards of Waverly Place and realised I missed out a few episodes. Snuggled with my pup, spent time with family accompanied by tasty food, and just reminisced over a wonderfully wonderful break by scrolling through my camera roll. Onwards and upwards.

With love,

Cheryl
