An Array of Thoughts

Power Cut

The ever so quick revolution of technology sometimes makes me grateful for things like power cuts. Moments where everything shuts off and theres a brief moment of utter silence. Yes, it may be a pain in the ass when you're doing something important but when you're not, it may as well be a blessing in disguise.

My favourite memory of a power cut was probably when I was younger and my brother and I were watching telly. We were so engrossed in the program but we didn't speak a single word to each other. When everything went pitch black, we looked at each other and had a little laugh. Disappointed that the power cut occurred during the climax of the program but we got to have dinner in our garden, at night. We lit candles and sat on a little table. It was really nice.

Acceptance?

We all grow up differently, some similar but we have different ways of thinking.

Narcissism
noun
excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance.

I was rather intrigued by this subject of thought as I laid awake wondering to what extent does "self love" becomes acceptable. People would self love as egoism and even though they may not be wrong, it certainly doesn't give them a reason to tear someone down because of self love. At least I think that's possible.

What is self love anyway? Is it telling yourself you're loved just they way you are everyday in the mirror or posting about it everywhere on social media? Perhaps it's taking care of yourself, maybe?

Beauty

There are so many perceptions of beauty.  I'm inspired to talk to about this subject because I honestly feel like our of seven billion humans on this earth, at least 80% of them are very shallow about this subject.

Motivation

I get these burst of motivation and creative outflow during points in my day and I absolutely love it. It gives me drive and purpose to accomplish things. What I hate is that the pang of motivation can be gone in a blink of an eye as something else menuver it's way, sipping in and intertwining, making all my thoughts a little blurt.

A creative outflow, a gush of ideas. We all need motivation to go on; whether that be words of encouragement or a ticking time bomb.

Influences

Every living person on earth will have been influenced throughout their lives, just to what degree. I'd like to think of myself to be someone who does get influence, but for the right reason.

I think unnoticed influence would have to be the scariest bit. It happens so slowly, as you get on with life not knowing you're changing and suddenly it just hits you one day.

You choose who your want to get influenced by, it doesn't work the other way.

Travel

Travelling isn't just going across to another country, but even to your grandmother's house 20 minutes away from where you live or maybe even to your favourite childhood playground you barely get to see anymore. Travelling is lovely because it brings adventure, and we all need adventure. I personally love adventure, therefore I love travelling; whether it's across the world or just a place I barely get to see anymore.

Oh man, how I love to travel.

Several people inspire me to travel: Jack and Finn; self explanatory, My dad.
